We have now purchased the land to build the school on. We got them set up with a 135 watt solar panel that charges four 6V batteries. It's about a kilometer down a dirt road out in the country between Leogane and Gressier.  There are 35 children here altogether plus about that many that have been given to other orphanages because they can't feed them.  They have nothing more than a dirt floor inside a tent to sleep on. Sustain Haiti has three different orphanages that they volunteer at.  They help them plant a garden, teach them some English, but most importantly, they play with the kids and give them lots of attention.  At this orphanage, the kids were beautiful (or course) but they had no structure, learning, or discipline.
