Here are the children on the first day of school at “L' Espoir d' Haiti” or “The Hope of Haiti” school. Notice the beautiful uniforms that Barb and Tode worked so hard on to finish in time! The classrooms weren't quite ready, but we went ahead and started anyways.
We converted the shade canopy into three different temporary classrooms while we're working on the permanent ones so that the kids don't lose another year of school.
I don't think that Jerry was too excited about getting called up to the blackboard.
